Hoshitori Results for Kyushu 2007, Day 5Today two ozeki lost, giving ginboshi points to the popular
selections Ama and Kisenosato, making for an extremly high
average of 81 points which must be in record territory for
a day without kachi-koshi bonuses.
The standings are still pretty volatile as the players still
are close together. Choshu-yuki had the best score with 103
points, giving her a jump of 54 places. Andorease moved to
13-2 with 102 points while Akinomaki is back in the top ten
with 100 points. Hakaso and Dimitri kept their places at the
top as they scored very well themselves.
Jejima would finally be the sole shukun-sho leader if not for
the fact that he dropped well below the KK line. Kitanoedo
also is in MK land, but with more hope to get to the promised
land. So we have a somewhat familiar looking duo at the top
of the shukun-sho with Choshu-yuki and Norizo. Abudisake and
Hokuranzan are showing no signs of weakness since the day 2
jumps and have a firm take on the gino-sho lead as both are
14-1, in the top five even.
